Version:           1.12.2 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

If i click to a link in an email in kmail, kmail downloads something and then there is opened a new tab in firefox, but in the address-field there appears something like 
file:///var/tmp/kdecache-user/krun/...

Of course often I'm not able to see the wished site and if yes - links in it don't work.

kmail shouldn't at all download this stuff but open the link-address in the browser!

I don't want to always must copy and paste the links to the browser.

Sounds like an openSuse bug with incorrect file associations to me, please report that problem to openSuse.
Here KMail opens links fine, with Konqueror though.

I'm using openSuse 11.2, KDE 4.3.3 and have no problem here.
