Description Arthur Schiwon 2009-11-17 08:26:46 UTC
This bug reincarnated in Amarok 2.2.1 again :(

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #206495 +++

Version: 2.2 Beta 1 (using KDE 4.3.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The background color of the lyrics applet seems to be hardcoded to white, though the font color actually is. This can lead to unreadable text, see http://imagebin.ca/view/sPbVAIK.html
Comment 1 Mark Kretschmann 2009-11-17 08:39:46 UTC
Hrm, I thought we had this fixed for good :(

(Any patches welcome!)
Comment 2 Rick W. Chen 2009-11-17 09:18:41 UTC
It is not hardcoded to white, but the colour selection might not work well for every colour style. Which one are you using? Is it "krog black"?
Comment 3 Arthur Schiwon 2009-11-17 18:31:06 UTC
No, i use Tragedy Color Theme (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Tragedy+Black?content=103332)
Comment 4 Martin Blumenstingl 2009-11-17 19:39:16 UTC
@Mark: yes it was fixed - but somehow it broke again ;)
it probably broke in b920e13eec7b708878360f1c91d47bcf858c8314 (ironically, the message of that commit was "Improve the consistency of Lyrics applet's appearance with other applets" :))

some time ago I sent an email to amarok-devel (see here: http://lists.kde.org/?t=125571679400006&r=1&w=2)

Comment 9 Tristan Miller 2009-12-02 15:28:42 UTC
Bug has reappeared in amarok-2.2.1; can this bug (or the earlier Bug 206495) be reopened please?
Comment 10 Myriam Schweingruber 2009-12-02 16:11:21 UTC
It is fixed in Amarok 2.2-git already, stay tuned for Amarok 2.2.2 beta, due in a few weeks.
