Description GUTH Christophe 2009-11-14 06:10:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

I was just added four links in Application group, when i clicked on the save icon, a segmentation fault occured. I had installed the debug packages, but the report continues to tell me that there is no sufficient informations for the report (automatic bug report).

Just obtained the list below :

Application: L'éditeur du menu KDE (kmenuedit), signal: Segmentation fault

Sorry, the error message is in French (i am using a french Operating System, OpenSuse 11.2 just released, so i don't know if the bug is in KDE or in the port into this operating system).

By the way, i don't know if the bugreport is part of KDE, if yes, i just have to tell you that i didn't have an area to type in a description of the bug. I didn't found a text area to send my email address too. Is it forgotten ?

Thank you for KDE which is a very nice desktop environnement.

best regards.

Are you sure you have installed the right debug packages? I don't use OpenSuse, so I don't know the exact name of the package you must have - it probably has kdebase or kdebase-workspace in its name.

The backtrace itself does not help much without the missing debug information. Can you install the missing debug packages and try to post a newer, more detailed backtrace?

No problem, your system language probably doesn't have anything to do with it.

The email address comes from your Bugzilla account.

Thanks!

- If you can reproduce the crash at will (or you experience this regularly), can you install the "kdebase4-workspace-debuginfo" package and post a complete backtrace here? Thanks
