Version: 0.6.0 (using 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-6.slh.1-sidux-686 I configure application/x-tuberling to show the tuberling Symbol. Can KDE support this by default, please. Besides I recognise two different names for this app. Potato and Tuberling (ktuberling). In the mime type the description is "potato". May be this should be updated also? Thanks a lot (especially to Albert who fixed my last ktuberling bug within 12 hours) and kind regards.
I've just made the icon thing, about the name, everywhere it says potato as far as i know except the extension that is ".tuberling", where else is called tuberling except in the binary name?
The package is called "ktuberling". If I report a bug or wish "ktuberling" is important. But this all belongs to the binary. In the german location I can find the app with the K-Menu with "ktub...", but not with "pot...". Otherwise I found it if I search for the german translation of the word "potato" (in german "Kartoffel"). So I wondered about the following: If I right-click a *.tuberling file and choose "properties", the context window tell my about the type: "potato". The window to change the file type tell my: MIME-Type: application/x-tuberling Extension: *.tuberling Description: potato. related applications: Kartoffelknülch (the german name of the application) Eventually it's a translation issue. I'm unsure but try to add the german-translation-list.
This is how the menu is designed to work, it finds things either by their binary name (in this case ktuberling) or by their "Normal translated Name" in this case Kartoffelknülch If you disagree you should open a bug against plasma saying how you'd want it to behave, meanwhile i'm closing the bug since it's not a ktuberling but.
