Description Praedor Tempus 2009-11-13 15:11:47 UTC
Version: 0.80.2 (using 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2), Mandriva Linux release 2010.0 (Cooker) for i586)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.5-desktop-1mnb

Every time I bootup and start kopete (kde 4.3.2, Mandriva 2010.0) I end up with a LONG list of totally unknown and undesired email/contacts in my "Friends" folder. I would delete all of them but upon next startup they are there again. So I deleted the Friends folder entirely. Now, all these mystery contacts/emails appear in my Family folder. Kopete is adding pointless and undesired contacts into the user's folders against the user's will and there is apparently no way to prevent this.

Forgot to mention: this is in the yahoo messenger system. Kopete needs a setting to allow only explicit additions by the USER to any and all components, blocking any magical/automatic contacts from being added.

the yahoo plugin now respects the blacklist and other unauthorized users list and prevents them from being added to your Kopete contact list. KDE SC 4.4 is the first release with this feature. Please reopen this bug if you still see it with that version of KDE.
