Description Richard Z. 2009-11-12 19:21:32 UTC
Application that crashed: systemsettings
Version of the application: 1.0
KDE Version: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.5-linus i686
Distribution: "Fedora release 10 (Cambridge)"

What I was doing when the application crashed:
happens on fully updated Fedora 10, "systemsettings" from kdebase-workspace-4.3.2-1.fc10.i386

To reproduce:

# systemsettings&

- doubleclick on appearance
-- click on emoticons

Can provide enhanced baktrace etc if there is enough interest.

 -- Backtrace:
Application: System Settings (systemsettings), signal: Segmentation fault

Yes, a complete backtrace is needed...
- Can you install the "kdebase4-runtime-debuginfo" package and post a complete backtrace here? (you can get more information at http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports ) Thanks

I think it's a duplicate of 208649 it's fixed in 4.3.3

thanks for fixing that so quickly:)
Comment 4 Carlo Segato 2009-11-13 01:29:04 UTC
well it was already fixed from something like a month, unfortunately I fixed it a few days after 4.3.2 was tagged
there is also a simple way to fix this as user if you already have a theme installed(you should have the "kde4" one)
open kdeglobals it should be in ~/.kde/share/config you can check the exact directory with "kde4-config --path config"
and add this
[Emoticons]
emoticonsTheme=kde4
