Version: 0.2.91 (using KDE 4.3.2) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages The toolbar is not configurable. This involves many usability issues: * Not able to resize icons * Not able to choose text, icons or both and their position * Addressbar is (for me) too short and I'm not able to see the full url * Bookmarks are on the same line as the buttons and toolbar * Users cannot add other buttons if they want to A suggested solution: * Split the parts of the toolbar into smaller ones, familiar to other KDE apps * One main toolbar, integrating all the other ones. * One toolbar for the navigation (back/forward) * One toolbar for the addressbar (with an "enter" button) * One seperate bookbar bar I know you want the layout uses the minimum of space, but at the moment this involves the usability negatively. You could perhaps use the recommended HIG usability aspects and set the current layout as default. Users have a minimum of space for the browser, but have always the opportunity to change the layout as they want (and that's a perfect KDE mind, isn't it?).
Thanks for suggestions. Toolbar and urlbar are under heavy development and will change *a lot* for 0.4. About your problems I can say that bookmark bar right position is UNDER the main toolbar. If you have in the same line, try stopping rekonq and deleting rekonqrc conf file (~/.kde/share/config/rekonqrc).
So will Rekonq's toolbars be as configurable as the rest KDE-apps' toolbars?

They will for sure. Not sure this will happen for 0.3.
the first two points you mentioned are now already possible :-)
hi. i am using a recent ( just updated ) version of rekonq , would like to mention that although you can select to have diferent icons and text on the toolbar , these settings arent remembered. also , you like if it would follow the general kde's toolbar settings as default. thanks :)
@Iori Yagami Could you please create a separate bug report for this issue? :-) Thanks :-)
dont know , have to think about it :) kidding done :) -> https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=225635
(In reply to comment #4) > the first two points you mentioned are now already possible :-) Mandriva 2010.1a2 kde 4.4.0 rekonq 4.3.90 i have not the ability to set tool bar how do you do his ? when i right click i have no contextual menu
addendum to comment #8 i have the error mesage "tool bar is not configuranle"
yes, the functionality has been removed (again) for now, since it caused an ugly bug. More information here: http://gitorious.org/rekonq/mainline/commit/315700ae94d0307b0bceb0e78329620e61a4ba0e
Toolbar is configurable again, as the solution for the bug is worst of the bug itself. Anyway, it seems settings are not stored. rekonq is anyway not responsible for this. I noticed in example that also kaddressbook forgets it.
Should it be configurable in 0.3.94? How, where?
I still cannot find the place to configure toolbars in 0.3.98. Is it really somewhere out there? :)
