Hi,

Every now and then KDE/X simply crashes and restarts returning me to the KDM login screen.

# How to Reproduce
Unfortunately I can't reproduce this at will.
What happens is I am randomly working and I just see a flash, then TTY console and then KDM login screen.

# Expected Behaviour
KDE/X to never crash and lose all my work.

# More info
An associate at work also had this problem very frequent multiple times a day when he launched some apps like kopete and he seemed to fix it by starting a brand new .kde directory. That is not an option for me and most users unfortunately.

# Backtraces

See attached .xsession-errors file. I have to attach it as it was too large.

Let me know what I can do to give more valuable backtraces/useful and I will definitely do so. This is a very nasty and serious bug.

Sorry - just to add I've had this problem in kubuntu 9.04 and 9.10.

According to the log most probably your X crashed, in which case there is nothing KDE can do. You need to report your problem to X developers.
