Description Jeremy Kerr 2009-11-10 11:50:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
Compiler: gcc-4.4.real (Ubuntu 4.4.1-4ubuntu8) 4.4.1
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

If I update the system timezone with:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

(the ubuntu console method for updating /etc/timezone)

Then the time shown by the plasma clock widget does not update, but instead continues showing the previous system timezone.

This used to work; the clock would detect the timezone change within a minute or so, and update accordingly. Now, the plasma clock continues to display the old timezone.

Fixed in KDE 4.4.1. Cannot point a precise fixe but it works. AFter I change the timezone with my distribution tool, Plasma clocks are updated accordingly for the new time and the new timezone, in panel and on desktop, digital and analog clocks.
