Description Dima Ryazanov 2009-11-05 02:13:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When the focus policy is set to follow mouse, the network manager applet's menu is very annoying to use. The menu disappears any time the mouse moves over another window. The problems:
1) This is different from every other popup menu implementation, including applets like kmix or klipper.
2) There's a gap between the system tray and the popup menu, so if you don't move the mouse fast enough, you will mouse over whatever window happens to be in the gap.
Comment 1 Dima Ryazanov 2009-11-05 02:15:18 UTC
Actually, kmix has the same problem for right-click menu, just not the left-click one.

Same for kxkb, which also uses KStatusNotifierItem

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have resolved this bug.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
