Driver/Xorg bug as it occurs from inside glXQueryVersion().

New crash information added by DrKonqi

kwin (4.11.14) on KDE Platform 4.14.3 using Qt 4.8.6

yum groups install "KDE Plasma Workspaces"

cd /var/lib/dkms/fglrx/14.301.1001/build; sh make.sh --nohints --uname_r=3.17.2-200.fc20.x86_64 --norootcheck......(bad exit status: 1)

Bon courage

You apparently figured that your driver installation is broken. I assume AMD dropped support for your GPU from their latest drivers.

In this case, you'll have to install the radeon/mesa drivers.

What's the output of

Nope, GPU is new enough.
I can only suggest to build the driver w/ verbose enabled to see why the compilation fails.

If you need further advice, please ask at fedora (eg. about incompatible kernel backports etc.)
As long as OpenGL does not work, you can run KWin either w/o any compositing or resort to XRender compositing. Run "kcmshell4 kwincompositing" for configuration.
(Actually XRender should have been auto-selected at some point)

Bonne continuation :)

Thank you for the advice. Although I'm not sure I understood everything. I'm still "newbe" with Linux.

Good luck :)
