Version: 3.4.1 (using KDE 4.3.1) Compiler: gcc (Gentoo 4.4.2 p1.0) 4.4.2 -O3 -fno-tree-vectorize -fno-ipa-cp-clone -march=pentium-m -fomit-frame-pointer OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages 1. Start Konqueror. 2. Select the menu "Settings" 3. Select the item "Configure Konqueror..." 4. Select the group "Web Browsing"/Web shortcuts". 5. Select an item in the list. Now it should be possible to change or delete the item. But the buttons "Change..." and "Delete" are disabled! Workaround: 6. Double-click on the item. Now the "Modify Search Provider" dialog is opened. 7. Click "Cancel" (or press Esc). Now the item is still selected and the buttons "Change..." and "Delete" are enabled as they should be. Attaching screenshots after steps 5 and 7 respectively.

Checked this issue with Kubuntu 10.10 (kde 4.6.2) and master/branch 4.6 compiled from sources I can not reproduce this bug. Please try again with an up to date kde, thanks.

On KDE 4.6.2 on Debian Sid, it's still the case. I am attaching a screenshot. Note that web shortcuts are disabled, yet the list is an active element.
Please check the option "Enable Web shortcuts", does it work then?
I am not sure what you are asking...
(In reply to comment #8) > I am not sure what you are asking... Please check the option "Enable Web shortcuts" at the top of the settings page, without this options the buttons are disabled in 4.6 here and it is not possible to add, delete or modify a web shortcut.
What style engine are you using ? Is this with the default style engine, Oxygen ? If not, does the problem go away if you change the style engine to the default one ? To me the screenshot does not make sense. Since web shortcuts are disabled in that screenshot by the fact that the "Enable Web Shortcuts" checkbox is unchecked, the list of webshort cuts as well as all the associated buttons should be greyed out. In your case it is not. However, I am not able to reproduce this on my system. Hence, the question above.
Now I can not reproduce the bug with KDE 4.6.5. (The style is called "Cleanlooks".)
