Version: (using KDE 4.3.1) OS: Linux Installed from: openSUSE RPMs Open usb drive in dolphin, press del and confirm moving file to trash. The file would start copying from flash disk to my home directory which looks confusing - the deletion process takes too long and I defenetely do not want to have those files in my home directory. Things get worse if the file was rather big (eg. some film) and there is no enough space in /home directory - so I can't delete file on flash drive cause my home partition becomes full. For external media trash directory should be located on same volume, so delete process would be instant as renaming.
This seems related to bug 178479 Thanks
The problem is the same, but I'm not sure if my system uses LVM (I think it does not) - I just have 3 normal partitions - root, home and swap - and did not play with something like LVM during installation. The system is OpenSUSE 11.0 with KDE 4.3.1 from suse factory. Just tried to delete file from USB flash disk (this one defenitely should not be LVM) and the file was moved to ~/.local/share/Trash/files
KDE 4.4.85 (KDE 4.5 Beta2) from opensuse unstable repo on opensuse 11.2 The issue is still here. Mount my htc hero sd card - this appears as "/media/disk", press del on some photos - find them in ~/.local/share/Trash/files
