Version: (using KDE 4.3.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Bug #130773 reports the problem that messages in an ignored thread is not marked read on an IMAP server as a bug. I can fully appreciate it is not a bug as such, and I can fully appreciate the comments that says that those messages aren't read indeed, you just don't want to read them. Also, since it is an IMAP account, one could conceivably have different clients and they could have different opinions as to the read status of the message. However, I will advocate some pragmatism here, it is a major annoyance when reading large mailing lists that these messages aren't marked as read, so all nuances aside, my wish is that there is an option that people can turn on if they want their client to marked messages in ignored threads as read.
This is *the* top annoyance for me as well. Please do something about it. A checkbox to (un)select this option in the settings would be awesome and greatly welcome!
Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
Yeah, still needs doing.
It still persists in kmail2. Tested with KMail 4.8.3 and RoundCube.
Seems to have missed the cut for kmail on KDE4, any chance of getting this done before KDE5 please ?
