Version: 3.9 (using 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2), Gentoo) Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31-gentoo-r4 A legacy ~/.kde4.2 directory existed at the time of compiling knotes and it may be that affected the installation, but the gentoo installation of the latest kde4 is using (at least on my computer), ~/.kde4. The settings dialog does not contain any facility for amending this.
Nature of bug not clear as part of heading not printed. Problem is that knotes attempts to write to ~/.kde4.2 when user kde files are located at .kde4 on latest gentoo system. becaute of '.' in directory name it is not possible to do a link with : "ln -s .kde4 .kde4.2" which would 'theoretically' solve the problem.
Is this still an issue? I assume this was solved quite some time ago.
This is no longer an issue for me, since I no longer use knotes, or kde desktop and I believe kde has moved on from kde 4.2.
Changing status then. Thanks for the feedback
