Version: (using KDE 4.3.1) Installed from: openSUSE RPMs Guys, Gwenview no longer shows the current image dimensions in the status bar forcing the user to navigate to the Information tab to find basic information. In all KDE3 image apps (gwenview, kview, etc.) the image size was always shown in the status bar giving the user a convenient reference to the image size for use in everything from web design to word processing. The image size is missing completely from the comparable KDE4 applications requiring additional work on the users part to get basic information that was readily available in KDE3. The simple display of the dimension information helped a LOT. For example in KDE3 gwenview and kview, the status bar provides the following simple information in the status bar: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/openSUSE_bugs/kde4/screenshots/gwenview-no-dimensions.png Please add the missing information to the KDE4 apps. It makes a big difference when you have hundreds of images to go through. Without it, that hundreds more mouse clicks to find the same information you were provided by default in KDE3. This same problem applies to okular as well.

Do you still want the old behavior back? Current versions of gwenview show the resolution in the window title.
Yes, Please.
All of these dialogs should provide the ability to use the select buffer to copy/paste the information. Otherwise it renders the select buffer useless which is a big loss of capability.
Disregard comment 5, wrong bug.
Out of curiosity, what's wrong with having the dimensions in the window title? I'm not totally averse to changing this, I'd just like to know people's feelings on the matter.
No need for WAITINGFORINFO status, actually.
We recently overhauled the statusbar in Gwenview. Going forward, we decided to mostly show document counters and selection/file size information in the status bar, while keeping the image dimensions in the information sidebar as well as in the titlebar. Note that you can also add this information to the thumbnails in Browse mode via "View → Thumbnail Details → Image Size".
