Version: 1.12.2 (using KDE 4.3.1) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs When replying to a mail in an IMAP account which is configured to load attachments on demand, the attachments are nevertheless downloaded before the user is allowed to type the reply. This causes unnecessary network traffic and delay and in some cases renders the "download on demand" feature useless (e.g., if one receives a huge attachment and wants to ask the sender a question about the content of the attached file before downloading and opening it).
Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
