Description michael 2009-10-18 20:15:30 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I have macbook pro which uses the function keys as harwared controls as well as there normal function. For example F2 and F1 control screen brightness if the fn key is not down. If it is they are supposed to be treated as normal function keys. This works unless a modifier such as alt is also pushed in which case they always control brightness. I don't know if kde or X11 is responsible for this.

This only happens if you push the fn key then alt. If alt is pushed first alt+function key works. Example Alt+F2.

This an X11 bug will refile there.
