Version: (using KDE 4.3.2) Compiler: gcc version 4.4.1 x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu OS: Linux Installed from: Archlinux Packages While renaming a file in Dolphin by right-click/Rename: if the new name is shorter enough than the old one, the old name with its selected area remains painted in Dolphin's view. It takes randomly long before the view is refreshed: sometimes you have to do it manually by getting out and in the directory, some other times dolphin does the job on its own after two-three seconds. It would be nice if repainting was done immediately.
Thanks for the report. Which view mode did you use in Dolphin: icons, details or columns? Did you enable Nepomuk/Strigi (see Systemsettings -> Advanced -> Desktop search). My guess is that Nepomuk blocks the UI in this case (this should be fixed in KDE SC 4.4.0).
I'm very sorry I see only now your request for feedback. As the bug was flagged as resolved in the meanwhile, I guess it's useless -- anyway: Nepomuk/Strigi disabled, icon view mode.
