Version: (using KDE 4.3.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs When the pop3 filter dialog of KMail pops up, the focus is on the help button. This is annoying when I want to postpone downloading the listed mails - if I press enter, the help is started instead of closing the dialog. Reproducer: - have a big mail in your pop3 mailbox so that the pop3 filter dialog appears - press enter expected result: - same as clicking the OK button actual result: - help window opens (because initial focus is on the help button) Note: When I do change the download status for at least one mail by clicking one of the radiobuttons in the mail list, return "presses" the OK button. This means: if you change the initial focus not to be on the help button, it should work. FYI: This was initially reported as https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=546674
SVN commit 1046170 by winterz: change the default button focus from the [Help] to the [Cancel] button. BUG: 210827 MERGE: 4.3,e4 M +1 -0 kmfilterdlg.cpp WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=1046170
(In reply to comment #1) > change the default button focus from the [Help] to the [Cancel] button. IMHO the default button when pressing enter should be the "OK" button, not the cancel button (which is mapped to the Esc key already). Maybe you have a good reason for making the cancel button the default button - however, I don't see any. Please tell me if/what I have overlooked...

I'm late, but... Verified (in KDE 4.6.0 on openSUSE 11.4) - thanks for fixing this!
Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
