Description kuv02 2009-10-16 08:51:36 UTC
Version: DigiKam 0.9.3 (KDE 3.5.7, r72.11) (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I have a case where I bulk rename lots of pictures and were I do not want to add numbers to the end of the filename. The image names are unique through the usage of the image date inside the filename.

I request a checkbox in the bulkrename dialog where I can disable "append Numbers".

A even more sophisticated version would be, to give an option "only append numbers if new names are not unique".

(Updating to KDE4 was not possible for me, due the fact that my system has not enough power to support the new one.)

digiKam 0.9.3 is obsolete now. Update to 0.9.6

Note : rename dialog is relevant of KDE core, not digiKam

Since a while digiKam use a dedicated rename dialog with provide a lots of new options as you want.

Current 5.8.0 pre-release bundle available here if you want to test :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

I close this file now. Re-open it if necessary.
