Description Mike 2009-10-16 03:22:55 UTC
Version: 0.10.0 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic

After updating the PC w/ MINT (KDE kubuntu) from Mandriva 2007 I ran the program the first time. The camera was detected. The 2nd download window opens and gets stuck at 20%, no text or images are displayed. The "Device" menu item selecting "Information" I get no camera information. The main window still shows the camera (CX4300 Kodak) detected. This is a USB device that worked where it is currently plugged. A 2nd program "F-Spot photo manager" opened the camera and showed the 2 images, they downloaded successfully using this program. With nothing changed I closed this program to return and have the same result, it is still at the 20% and locked there (bottom progress bar) on the download window screen.

Is this reproducible after detaching an re-attaching the camera?
Comment 2 Mike 2009-10-22 02:29:34 UTC
Yes. The MINT 7 (Kubuntu 'jaunty' based) USB pop-up in KDE shows the camera attached, clicking here brings up the "digiKam" download window, I can send a screen capture. It is stuck at 20%, no files are shown, this is the preliminary attach hand shake as I see it. (Import -> Cameras -> CX4300 brings up the same window with the same result) No files and no camera information can be obtained from this window. Plugging into another USB port does not change the result.
Thank you, Mike
