Description Lukas Middendorf 2009-10-15 21:55:27 UTC
Version: 1.5.3 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

I can not select Jupiter without zooming in extremely far. I always get one of its moons instead. If one object is by far the brightest in one area of space, that should always be selected if you click within a few pixels.
It is very annoying if you try to select one object (like a star with its name next to it because of its magnitude) and get an other one which happens to be located on the same pixel but has a much greater magnitude.

Size of object is not taken into account too. For example find M31 zoom in so it will take large portion of screen and try to select it. To do so you must click exactly at the center of object which could occupy half of the screen
