Description Stefan Parviainen 2009-10-14 21:41:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: MS Windows
Installed from: MS Windows

The Windows installer should alert the user if he does not have permission to install the files to the requested directory. Currently an error is given only when actually tying to install the files, after a lengthy download. It would be better if the installer alerted the user of potential problems when the target directory is chosen. Additionally the program could ask to elevate privileges (on Vista or later) to solve the problem.

Check if the selected install directory is writable and inform the user if this is not the case.
