Version: 1.0.0-beta5 (using 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2), Mandriva Linux release 2010.0 (Cooker) for i586) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.4-desktop-0.rc2.1mnb today digikam use gpx format to geolocalize it woul be a good thing to use also a standard format whis is nmea text file my gps data photo tracker uses standard nmea text file
Use GPSBabel to convert it. There is no plan to support other complex GPS data file. At least an interface to GPSBabel can be done, but it's not yet available as library, only a commmand line tool... Gilles Caulier
You could use gebabbel (http://gebabbel.sourceforge.net/) as a simple GUI for gpsbabel. Gilles: Can we close this as WONTFIX?
sure... Gilles
you didn't understand it's not a bug report it's a wish. i selected "wishlist" i wish you add another format
I also don't think it's a good idea to support anything else than GPX; it's public and the de facto standard supported by all major GPS vendors and applications, whereas NMEA is a somewhat archaic propriety protocol primarily meant for communicating data.
Michael, Agree to close as WONTFIX ? Gilles Caulier
