Description r-kde 2009-10-13 16:02:46 UTC
Application that crashed: konqueror
Version of the application: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30-gentoo-r5-rf86 x86_64

What I was doing when the application crashed:
When following a link from thunderbird I got an error when launching konqueror. This seems to happen consistently - I just switched from KDE 3.5 to 4.3.

The URL is: https://keyserver2.pgp.com/vkd/v.e?t=dKCHY4GHY5WCEL6KKTOI454ET6M

I do not get a crash if I paste the URL into the konqueror address bar.

(Note that the link has already been followed and shouln't do anything but crash now.)

As explained in bug 192419 / bug 175069 (bug 157850). This is caused by some path (KDEDIR) issues after the KDE3->KDE4 move.

It appears that gentoo thinks that this issue has been fixed. I can confirm that KDEDIRS is not set in my environment at all.

I get the same behavior when launching konqueror from a shell (and can confirm in the shell that KDEDIRS is not set).
