Description Andrew Kerr 2009-10-11 16:32:32 UTC
Version: 1.5.1 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When akregator is maximised there is a border on each side of the screen a few pixels wide that prevent controls, notably scroll bars on the far right, from being against the edge of the screen. This makes controls less easy to use (Fitts's Law) and is inconsistent with the rest of KDE.

For Fitts's Law and its implications see:
http://www.asktog.com/basics/firstPrinciples.html#fittsLaw
and the linked quiz.

This is largely reproduced on the KDE UI guidelines
http://developer.kde.org/documentation/design/ui/fittslaw.html

Comment 3 Andrew Kerr 2012-02-15 12:34:54 UTC
KDE 4.7.4, akregator 4.7.3, kubuntu 11.10 does not have this problem.
