When sorting contacts according to their birthday, the list is ordered according to the month of birth. Here Is an example:

17.01.1993
05.02.1998
23.03.1956
20.04.1932
...

The date-format above is the german (D-M-Y) one, I can't tell whether this problem also occures in other date-formats. Off course it is much more useful to be able to sort the contacts according to the full birthday, not only the month.

Thank you for your efforts you put into this bug. kab3 has long been deprecated, and so I close its old reports. If this bug/wish is still valid for kab3's successor kaddressbook in any recent version (5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08.0 or later), please file a new bug against kaddressbook.
