Description m.wege 2009-10-09 13:24:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The places and history tab do not honour the standard icon size set in system-settings. Would be good if corrected. Added [ui] to short description as requested here:
http://kdepepo.wordpress.com/2009/06/29/high-dpi-aware-kde-applications/
Comment 1 Christoph Feck 2009-10-09 16:27:15 UTC
Which icon size setting should it follow? As this is a list of single text lines, the correct size would be "Small", but I doubt Aurelien would accept that, as icon themes currently offer only "16" and "22" as small icons.

Other available sizes that are configurable in systemsettings are "Desktop", "Toolbar", "Panel" and "Dialogs" (new in 4.4).
Comment 2 m.wege 2009-10-09 16:43:13 UTC
Actually that is what what I wanted. Especially "places" some kind of a standard in many kde apps. In filedialogues and dolphin the size is honoured and the same. Only gwenview does it different and that doesn't look good and consistant to me.
Comment 3 Christoph Feck 2009-10-09 16:53:14 UTC
In Dolphin and file dialogs the places panels have "automatic" icon sizes (which seems to be a feature, but is reported as bug 182089).
Comment 4 m.wege 2009-10-09 17:10:01 UTC
I am aware of that, but I thought I had read this has been fixed for 4.4.
