Description Philippe Didier 2009-10-08 02:48:24 UTC
Version: 2.2.0 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

I already mentionned this bug for Amarok 2.2 rc1 but it was reassigned to kio_audiocd

http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208187

It's still remaining !

1) Amarok has been launched
2) Insert an audioCD
3) Amarok displayes its content and fetch its cover
4) Eject the CD
5) Insert an other CD
6) Amarok doesn't refresh the display of the content (bug)
7) Stop Amarok
8) Launch again Amarok
9) The display of the content of the CD has changed

I am not so sure it's a kio_audiocd problem but it seems that Amarok can't understand the "the cd is changed" message from kio_audiocd.

In fact Kscd is OK when I eject a previousCD and load a new CD.

Perhaps some changes in the signal from kio_audiocd are known by the Kscd team but not by the Amarok team

Again, this is not Amarok related, since I can reproduce this with Dolphin, which also uses the kio_audiocd.
K3b uses the same kio slave and has to kill it explicitly to restart a new instance for recognizing a CD change. So this is definitely a bug in the kio slave
