Version:            (using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

I have set random background on my plasma desktop, I have dual screen and multiple activity, and one by virtual desktop, some activitie is in Desktop and other is on Folder view.
And when I start KDE, I have random activitie screen wich is black, I need reapply the settings for the background is show.
Thanks to fix.

Is this bug  still valid with kde 4.4.4 or kde 4.5beta ?

Yes the bug is already present, and in particular circonstance with fixed background (reboot via other VT)

did you refer to 4.4.4 or 4.5 beta 2? there should be some fixes at least in 4.5 rc1 by the way
