Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.2.4) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages The Kword Docker only has a few icons (and no dialogue boxes), so it ought to be able to take up a small amount of space when docked at the top or bottom of the application. However, it cannot be resized, so it takes up an unnecessary amount of screen space. One should be able to resize the docker such that the icons are lined up one-by-one.
Created attachment 37361 [details] Screenshot illustrating the bug Here is a screenshot do demonstrate how the Kword Docker takes up an unnecessary amount of space.
In the current 2.0 release the amount of icons is indeed not that many, at the same time the design idea of KOffice is not fully implemented yet and I expect the amount of tools will grow when things like the krita shape become available to KWord. Selecting a shape will show all of the tools that act on it, so this will grow the amount of icons shown too. Having more icons and a small toolbox will then cause problems like the some of them being invisible. Thats not what we want either. I'd think we will take a look at this issue again when the concept is getting better implemented.

My report is the duplicate. What is missing here from my report is that I would like to be able to remove (instead of resizing) that Kword docker. I wont need any Krita stuff or any stuff which can be used in the current beta with in that toolbar.
I reported the inability to remove the dockers as a separate bug. It is a duplicate of Bug 187094.
