Description André Neves 2009-10-04 12:12:15 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.30-1-amd64

This refers to the "Coordinate System" options.

Sometimes one might want to view the plot not with fixed x and y value ranges, but with one range fixed and the other determined by a factor. For example, I might actually want to see a 45° angle in the graph of "y = x". This would require a ratio of 1:1.

Currently this is not possible. In order to achieve this, an user would have to make a lot of arithmetic with the window size and the range of values.

Anisotropic ratio in plot widget

In this image, the line that should be 45 degrees from the axis is clearly rotated clockwise. This, plus the obviously rectangular shape of the grid, denotes a x:y ratio different lesser than 1:1.
