Version:           3.9.95 (using KDevPlatform 0.9.95) (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1), Gentoo)
Compiler:          i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-gentoo-r4

On save file kdevelop hangs and create thousand of backup files in the shared directory. The filenames are "qt_temp.XXXX". With the option "Local files" disabled in the editor settings (Backup on Save) this will not happens.

Can not reproduce, just creates backup file for me.
