Description Sérgio Durigan Júnior 2009-09-29 21:54:12 UTC
Version: 1.12.1 (using KDE 4.3.1)
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Hello,

I have been using Kmail for some time now, and I keep noticing that the sort option named "By Date/Time of Most Recent in Subtree" takes too long to finish sorting the e-mails (obviously, I'm talking about a huge mail folder, with more the 10 thousand messages). Usually, it takes about 5 or 6 minutes to sort everything, and it's really annoying wait until it's finished.

I really don't know if this can algorithm be improved (I was going to take a look in the code, but had no time until now), but I believe that it's an important feature and it would be good to have a small delay to use it.

Thank you.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.

It has been almost two years since I don't use Kmail, and I have never used Kmail2, so I cannot confirm this wishlist is still valid for it.
