Version: (using Devel) Compiler: gcc 4.3.2 OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled sources - Launch Kontact and go to KAB with a new user account - There should only be an empty 'All Contacts' folder in the Address Books column. At this point, it is impossible to create any Contacts. The only way to be able to do so is to create a new address book, for instance: - Right click on it and select 'Add Address Book...' - Select 'Personal Contacts' and click on 'Ok' - An 'Akonadi Resource dialogue appears giving a default path for the location of the new address book: /home/sabine/.local/share/contacts/ - Click on 'Ok' - A new address book called 'Personal Contacts' has been added. I think it will be a good idea to create this address book by default when starting KAB for the first time since it has a default name and path already. It would allow the user to create Contacts without knowing anything about the different kind of resources which can be a bit confusing at first. Trunk, Svn Rev 1027981
I agree with Sabine.
Hej Sabine, is the default resource created when you launch KAddressBook instead of Kontact in the new user account? Ciao, Tobias
I will not test this now since I need to reset my user account to do it. I've just got it working again from my last reset so I'd like to work a bit more before resetting it again... So I'll try to do it next week. Sorry about that... Trunk, Svn Rev 1030016
Hej Sabine, have you tested in the meantime? Ciao, Tobias
Hi Tobias, I retested this yesterday and there is still no default addressbook created when launching Kontact or KAB on its own after resetting a user account. Trunk, Svn Rev 1048496
