Can you list the exact plasmoids where the color doesn't change? Maybe along with screenshots of those items showing the problem?
Comment 3 Nicolas L. 2010-06-07 11:13:11 UTC
Do you reproduce with kde 4.4.4 or 4.5 beta ?
Comment 4 Helder Meneses 2010-06-07 14:51:04 UTC
hi there,

yes, i can reproduce in kde 4.4.4. i change the system color to norway and the plasmoid(ex.) quick folder access remains with the oxygen colors...

i can't test in kde 4.5 because i don't have it...
Comment 5 Beat Wolf 2010-06-13 15:02:45 UTC
can you make a list of the specific plasmoids that cause that problem? it could very well be that a few plasmoids have a bug that is not a general kde bug (for example custom graphical elements that don't react of color changes). in that case they have to be fixed one by one. thank you!

1) The color scheme change is the one of the workspace; color schemes like norway are only for the applications
2) I can confirm for at least the folder view widget. Applying to that specific widget now.

Excuse me, where exactly does FoldeView use the system application colors? It is completely SVG themed. Do you mean the font color?
Comment 8 Helder Meneses 2012-03-03 20:10:06 UTC
Wow, almost 3 years later and 5 major revisions to kde...

if i remember the system colors would not apply to all plasmoids like i tested here:

yes, i can reproduce in kde 4.4.4. i change the system color to norway and the plasmoid(ex.) quick folder access remains with the oxygen colors...

i havent tested in the latest release 4.8...

regards,

OK, I see. Now where exactly do you see the system colors being used in the FolderView plasmoid? The background is an SVG, it always has the same color regardless of the "system" (application) color theme. The scrollbar is SVG as well. The icon frames are SVG. Maybe you mean the font color? That's the only element I can think of that depends on the application colors.

Ping? Any more details on the issue? Please refer to my comment above. Thank you in advance.

Closing for lack of feedback. Feel free to reopen this report if you can reproduce it with KDE 4.8.3 or later.

Yes, probably should be closed. The reporter has not explained the problem's relation to folderview at all.
