Description Jens 2009-09-23 11:43:24 UTC
Version: 1.12.2 (using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I'm not sure whether this is a problem with kmail or with the email service providers but I was hoping you could tell me and/or fix it.

I have two computers: my desktop and a laptop. Kmail is installed on both machines and I want to have all the mails on both computers. So I use pop3 and tell kmail to leave the messages on the server.

But when e.g. my laptop downloads mails from googlemail and another mail provider and then I start my desktop, kmail won't download the message to my desktop. But logging in to the web interface tells me that the message is still there.

When I first installed kde on my laptop I have copied all my config files from the desktop to it. So maybe there's some unique identification number that is the same on both machines and that is causing the error. Is there any way to change this?

Strange, for me that worked good in KDE 4.2 times. Mails were left on server and fetched by every of my kmail instances

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
