Version:            (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

With the new Kopete I can't receive files from other people, I can send files to them, but when they try to send me something I get the message that it is copying the file but with 0B/s, on my friends ICQ client (the windows one) its saying that is is waiting for me to start the download

Check Use proxy instead in ICQ account preferences, does it help?

If I had known this setting a lot sooner it would have saved me a lot of trouble. Worked for me activating this option. Thanks :-)

Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it was reported on an older version, can we please ask you to see if you cazn reproduce the issue with a more recent software version?
