Description Justin Newman 2009-09-20 09:17:11 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

I'm not 100% sure this is PowerDevil, but since the screen lock configuration is under 'Power Managerment' I will assume it is.

Anyway, with automatic screen lock enabled the screen still locks when watching videos full screen or playing games. This behaviour is present in VLC, SMPlayer, Dragon Player, Kaffeine, and probably others as well as both Wine and native full screen games.

I'm also not sure whether this is a problem with the applications or KDE, but since it seems common across all apps I decided to file the bug here.

If this is intended behaviour rather than a bug, I propose that it be changed anyway. Currently the only way for me to watch shows or movies on my desktop is to switch to presentation mode.

Alternatively, consider this a wish for a control panel applet to quickly switch power management profiles.

not a dupe, after all. please verify whether it is still a problem, and if so, document your setup exactly.
