Description Arne Babenhauserheide 2009-09-19 22:34:35 UTC
Version: 1.0 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1), Gentoo)
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.30-hh2

Hi,

I'd love to be able to define actions for my nonstandard-mousebuttons.

Currently I use imwheel to remap the mouse button to a keyboard shortcut, but it would just be much cleaner to be able to simply define an action in systemsettings.

So instead of "only" gestures, it would be great to also be able to say "when I click Button9 (that's the one below my thumb!) execute action X".

This would allow easier access to apps like kommando (which sadly is KDE 3.5 only):

You can hardly imagine the huge effect this app had on my productivity without experiencing it (and seeing how friends of mine looked when I wanted to show them some other app and routinely used Kommando to call it ;) ).
