Version: (using KDE 4.3.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages The easiest way to reproduce the situation: 1) open kwrite 2) write down some text, but do not save it 3) shade the window 4) try to close app from the task bar And voila! :) Kwrite tries to ask uses, whether to save the text. But we could not answer, because app is shaded. If i try to unshade the window by hovering mouse above it's header, is tempopary unshades and dialog appears. But when I move the cursor to the dialog all stuff gets back hidden :) The only way to correctly solve the situation is to clear the corresponding `shaded' checkbox on the kwrite's taskbar item.
On current trunk when I close a shaded window, the dialog box is shown so I can choose to save the file correctly.

Hm... it not works for me because modal dialog gets minimized to the taskbar item, as the shaded window itself. If if forks for you it seemed that it was fixed in the trunk, but I can't find the duplicate for this.
