Version: 4.0 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4) "release 2", KDE:42 / openSUSE_11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.29-0.1-pae When I start Kphotoalbum new added folders and photos are not found and shown in the window. No error massage is given. A start of Kphotoalbum in a terminal gives no hint.
This might be about file associations handled by the OS. (I had similar problem with Ubuntu once.) Fix was to re-create that file association. $ kcmshell4 filetypes This should open a gui for creating the association (I run gnome so I do not have that on menu but can be started from command line easily) Then select: image-jpeg Check that *.jpeg and *.jpg are included in file name patterns.
With proper file associations the images should be found. Folders are only shown if there are images or videos in them.
