Version: 2.3.1 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1), volkerdi@slackware.com) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.29.6 Try a megaupload file for example this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TJX9PXG4 with kget active, kget will donwload a webpage instead of zip file.
You have to go to the webpage with your browser and click on the file to get it. Direct download from megaupload needs some script work which is not done yet.
I did it. Is impossible to download directly because megaupload needs captcha. I've tried konqueror with kget enabled..and doesn't work, without kget enabled works fine.
I tried your link, it works on my firefox3.5. After entering the captcha, press enter, you get two buttons, one for premium download, one for regular download. click on regular download will bring up kget and get the right zip file. I'll test for konqueror later.
Thanks for reporting! Downloading files from Megaupoload works with trunk and konqueror integration enabled (what will become KDE 4.4) so I'll close this report.
And what happens for people not using konqueror as main browser? The best approach should be to have a complement to configure premium accounts (like jdownloader has), anbd that way, use kget from every browser (that's what I want). From my understanding, this is still a bug, because even logged in as a premium user in konqueror, kget won't download anything from megaupload if I copy/paste a megaupload link. Reopen?
I'm using KDE 4.5.1 by the way
Thanks for your comment. I guess the other report you also commented on is better suited for this problem.
