Description Purodha Blissenbach 2009-09-15 15:35:11 UTC
Version: ? (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

The original bug report is at
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=546489
After having been referred here by the debian maintainer,
a copy of the data submitted to the debian bug tracker is
below.
Note, I am not so much wanting the l10n altered, because
what is considered correct, depends on the dialectal area.
The considerably less used variant is the current i10n.
My wish is to be able to simply rename the folder to what
my (and most of the German speaking areas in world) variant
is.

Here is the text of the original bug report:

Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.5.9-5
Severity: minor
Tags: l10n

There is a flaw in the German localization of kmail. It automatically creates
a folder "Versendete Nachrichten" instead of "Versandte Nachtrichten" (which is
as bad as saying "teached" instead of "taught" in English. It makes me scream
inside each time I see it)

There is no way even to rename that folder. At least I could not find one.
Renaming other folders is possible via "properties" in the context menu, but
not this one.

I am a newbie user to desktop linux but using linux servers since years.
Just started to use kde and kmail et al in order to assist others using them.
So maybe I am only not educated enough atm.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2
