Description gmud 2009-09-13 10:46:42 UTC
Version: 0.9.1 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Steps to reproduce:
1. Try to open a postscript (*.ps) file which contains matlab functions (e.g. http://www.virtosphere.de/data/publications/workshops/1998/eurosim.ps)

Results:
Okular says it cannot open the file

Expected results:
At least a reason should be given like evince (gnome) does:
File type MATLAB-Skript/-Funktion (text/x-matlab) is not supported

or

Support to open the file like gv does

Okular uses a library called libspectre to render PS files. If you want us to be able of opening this file or to be able to report better errors on open failure you should file a bug against the libspectre product on http://bugs.freedesktop.org

Thanks for caring about okular
