Hey Dario, I added it back in and rebooted. All went smoothly. But that was one boot ... I'll see what happens. Even without it roughly 50% of time, the start-up process doesn't seem to read my X configuration file correctly and wants to go into low graphics mode. A restart fixes it. --Roland On 11/14/09, Dario Andres <andresbajotierra@gmail.com> wrote: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207221 > > > Dario Andres <andresbajotierra@gmail.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > CC| |grkmail@gmail.com > > > > > --- Comment #5 from Dario Andres <andresbajotierra gmail com> 2009-11-14 > 15:33:56 --- > *** Bug 214494 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** > > -- > Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You reported the bug. >

Thanks.. The X issues is unrelated I think (or at least, not KDE's fault)
The problem still exists, even thought I'm not using the PyWeather applet. The system will not boot correctly at any time; all booting into Linux result in that "can't detect settings booting into low graphics" mode problem.
@rolandjdevnull@gmail.com: you should check that on UbuntuForums, that problem is out of the KDE scope... Regards
