Version: 1.11.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-15-generic I use the threaded view for displaying the contents of e-mail folders. If I tell KMail to “ignore” a thread, the e-mails of this thread are not marked as ignored. In KDE 3.5 (under Debian etch), a red disc with a horizontal white bar on it was displayed near every ignored message. This is no longer the case in KDE 4.2.2. If I move the mouse on top of a message, the popup window tells me that the corresponding thread is in fact ignored. It’s just that there is no visual clue in the list of e-mails itself.
I'm using KDE 4.3.1 here and I can see the ignored icon. But it depends on your viewing theme. You need to have the icon "watched/ignored" defined in the shown icons.
