This happens when I use the "close all" command in Matlab, causing it to close many windows, then while they are closing subsequently I want to switch to another application. I assume it is not specific to Matlab, but occurs because the window that closes is currently shown in the "window change"-list.
I use the desktop-effect "Kasten mit Minibildern". My translation would be "Box with Preview Thumbs". It is the one where thumbnails of all windows are arranged in one 2D horizontal list and a blue frame moving among them indicates which one is chosen.
