Description f.pezzato 2009-09-09 12:49:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
Compiler: gcc 4.4.1 x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unspecified Linux

I'm trying to move to trash some folders, one of which weighs 23 Gigs. When I right-click on this last folder and select "move to trash", after the due confirmation a dialog appears and says "The trash has reached its maximum size! Cleanup the trash manually.",
This information is wrong, because I have already cleaned up the trash and it is currently empty. The result is that I am actually not able to delete the folder in this way. Must use rm via konsole.
Comment 1 Lukáš Karas 2010-03-01 01:10:48 UTC
Hmm, you are right, this dialog is absolutely wrong if trash is empty :) Trashed file was probably bigger than trash quota...

Comment 4 Nate Graham 2018-04-16 19:46:22 UTC
Is this still an issue with KDE Frameworks 5.45 or greater?

Hey, a patch! Let's see if we can get that applied...
Comment 7 Ahmad Samir 2021-07-27 23:24:54 UTC
I tested and trying to delete a file that's bigger than the trash size, which the trash is empty, I get a "file is too large to be trashed" error message.
